• administering the competition;
• communicating with entrants;
• selecting and notifying winners;
• publishing winning entries where permitted;
• maintaining competition records.
- Publication of Winning Entries
Winning entrants agree that their story may be published on the competition website.
Publication may occur under:
• the entrant’s real name;
• a pen name chosen by the entrant; or
• first name only if requested.
- Storage and Security
Reasonable steps will be taken to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
- Sharing Information
Personal information will not be sold or provided to third parties except where required by law or necessary for administering the competition.
- International Entrants
As the competition is administered from Australia, personal information may be stored and processed in Australia regardless of the entrant’s country of residence.
- Retention
Competition records may be retained for administrative and legal purposes. Non-winning entries may be deleted after the competition concludes unless the entrant has separately consented to ongoing communication.
